The Statesboro Regional Library will be hosting History Discourse: Dell-Goodall House this Thursday at 6:00 pm.
The presentation will entail a detailed history of the house, Lorenzo Dow, Seaborn Goodall and the story of why this the only house that remains in the old city of Jacksonborough.
The house is located about six miles north of Sylvania on Highway 301. It was built in 1815 for Seaborn Goodall, a prominent Jacksonborough citizen, who was clerk of Superior Court. The house was entered on the National Register of Historical Places on October 17, 1977.
